What 'thermocouple fuse' do you speak of :H
No such fuse.
You have 2 fuses on the control module.
A 3A DC fuse and a 5A AC fuse.....both glass fuses.
The 3 amp DC fuse is designed to protect the circuit board
from internal/external DC shorts.
The 5 amp AC fuse is designed to protect the integrity of the AC detection and heater circuit from shorts.
The 3A DC fuse is blowing due to a 'short'
That short could be a bad circuit on control module, could be bad solenoid on gas valve, could be a bad communication cable between upper/lower boards etc.
Your RV Tech is a .....well never mind. He should know your model is 2 way only.
Operating an RV Fridge on propane while in transit is what they are for.............being self contained. Operating it while in transit is not the issue.
Blowing the 3A DC fuse is because you have a DC short.
Listen to OldBiscuit.
And DO NOT listen to that service guy. He is clueless. No danger in running the fridge on propane at any time. If you are in a truck camper, it's in the same position close to the tank regardless of if you are travelling or stationary.
You have a DC short somewhere, as OB said.
