Our fridge is 25 years old, a 3 way original to the camper, and we run it exclusively on propane unless staying longer than overnight with shore power, then it's on electric. We've not had any problem with it going out while in motion, blowing fuses, or otherwise. Definately sounds like a short. We never turn it off for anything once we head out. Of course, now that I've praised it it will probably die soon! I'd worry about the tech as well,quite uninformed or educated with fridges. I'd worry about the place not having a competent workforce in other areas as well. Just my opinion and I'm nobody special for sure.
