Fridge vent covers needed. Yuma?

We'll be in Yuma in a month or so on our way home. We need the two vent covers (upper and lower) for our slide mounted Norcold 1201LRIM.

We also need a service/repair to the water heater. The flame usually blows out when lighting or re-lighting. I have tried what I can with no improvement, need a tech.

Maybe a fridge too--still working on that--with everything else going on right now I haven't had time to fool with it. At least we can buy ice at the end of the block.

Anyone recommend a reliable shop?

IF we decide to have the fridge repaired/replaced we need to be able to stay in it while it's being worked on. We have two dogs, and no tow vehicle.

  • So much for Al's. Tried the Live Chat again this morning, after waiting for reply for 10 minutes, gave up and phoned. Main line rang 8 times then was answered. I was connected to service where the line rang at least 10 times then dropped to a busy signal. Called back, phone not answered after 10 rings by count, gave up.

Called Foothills RV; call answered after three rings, "can you hold a moment please" I said yes but not too long, I'm calling from Mexico. He stayed on the line, I gave a very quick and brief rundown, and suggested I send details by email. He gave me an e-mail address and booked an appointment for our expected arrival date.

Hope the rest of the service is as satisfactory.

That one thing dealt with. Now we can concentrate on dealing with Mexican Customs and the Insurance company about our stolen and not recovered Jeep.
  • Phoned Als yesterday, bad Skype line but the lady on the phone said she would have someone respond to the e-mail. So far nada. Tried the live chat this afternoon but I think they were dead. No response there either.

I'll try another few numbers tomorrow then give up.

Sent them a note via their website last week, nary a peep since. I'll try phoning on Skype.
  • Even a pretty good selection of RV accessories in the Walmarts in Yuma! RV Connection on 32nd near the Flea Market has tons of stuff. Hilco has the Oldest Store around with Old Time Service!
  • There are more RV shops in Yuma than a dog has fleas. There is a fully equipped parts store Near Frys down in the Foothills. West side of 8 . You'll find it by the Dairy queen and frys. Otherwise there are plenty others.
  • What make and model is your RV? Some parts might need to be ordered. I take my RV to RV world. Al's Hilco, County RV...lots of good choices Call ahead and make appt. RVserviereview.com
