That would be the
flue tube directly above the burner and inside the flue tube is a baffle which is a twisted piece of metal about 5 inches long that hangs a specific distance above the burner. (size and spacing depends on your fridge model)
First thing though would be clean the burner and jet as mentioned by
midnightsadie above.
I just went through this with mine. After I cleaned the burner and flue tube it wasn't much better so I ordered a new burner and jet. While waiting I had nagging thoughts about gas pressure. Everyone will tell you that regulators don't go bad .... but .... Well, I made a homeade mannometer and connected it to the test port on the burner. Dometic says it should be 11 inches water column with 1/3 of the BTUs running in the trailer. I had 8 inches :( with only the fridge and it went down when I turned on a stove burner. I messed with the adjustment on the Marshal regulator and got it up to 10 1/2 inches of water column. Fridge was much better. Now I need a new changeover regulator because this one can't be trusted.
