A shopping or garbage bag stretched behind the lower grille with it to hold the bag should do it. In extreme cold, like 10 below F,and colder, close off the upper grille as well.
His outside temps are NOT to low. NEVER block off air flow access in low temps. Use a 60 watt light bulb to heat up the rear, but NEVER block off air flow. If BELOW 20 degrees ambient, the RV refer will NOT operate correctly regardless of what you do. Doug
Doug is you comment specific to the OPs refrigerator?
My RM2807 has operated well, at -7 degrees ambient.
