IF the refer was operating when you left town and was ON, AND your roof top vent was then covered in snow. That means the ventilation was completely blocked and you destroyed your cooling unit. We call this "Cooking" your cooling unit. It is the same when you operate a refer in normal temps and you have blocked ventilation. This causes the cooling unit to overheat and that destroys it. If you had a "Blocked" cooling unit, the freezer would still get cold. A Cooked cooling unit will not do anything. You need a new cooling unit. Doug
