Full size breakers vs. tandem (double) breakers?

I was looking at my load center breaker panel to see where to put a couple of breakers dedicated to space heaters. I have a spare slot where I intend to put a tandem 15A breaker. I'm going to move a 1...

Joe, You are doing it correctly and safely. I got lost on some replies and now I wonder if in the last 63 years in the residential and traffic signal wiring I learned anything.

I don't have a 50amp service in my rig but I do have a 200amp in the S&B with a 50 amp sub panel. I really just balanced the two sides by possible loads, and other than the AC, I have no high amperage items.
