Furnace Igniter.. what is that wire made of? Mine erodes.

So, my furnace igniter, basically 2-3 wires sticking out over the burner where the propane comes up, is no longer in production. Last season, I took it to a welder, who proptly welded some welding ...

ANYWAY... I need a heater. Which means I need either a new igniter or I need to find out what wire I need to weld on to the old igniter.

So, I pulled up some chinese suppliers for random gas igniters and some of them have specified the electrode material.

2) Electrode Pin/Rod: OCr25Al5, SUS304, Ni80Cr20, KanthalA1, etc.

KanthalAl is a trade name for just Fe-Cr-Al.

Does this make sense to any of you welders or metalurgists out there?
