gas smell on fridge cycle

I have a lance 1010 t/c and have been hitting some pretty bumpy roads here in central america. recently i have been noticing a pronounced smell at the start of the cooling cycle, similar to the odour when gas ignites. Yes, i know that this makes sense but i can really notice it more lately. the unit is still keeping temp and it is in operation continuously. we have also start using the higher propanol blend common down here.any ideas?
  • I've also heard that different companies put different amounts and slightly different smells in the gas. Could be your sensitivity to the particular smell agent.

You might check that the vent is completely open to carry the heat and smell up and out.
  • Gas valve opens for 6-8 seconds while spark is trying to light it.
Gas flow.....lag in lighting off........noticeable smell

Might want to check ignitor position.....could have moved a bit too to rough roads
Still OK for lighting off main flame but taking a bit too long

S/B directly over burner slot, 1/8" gap and engulfed in flame when lit.
