Generac generator adapter

I am about to take delivery of my new Jayco Eagle Premier 361REQS and would like to be able to hook up to my generator. The genny has a L14-30R 4 prong plug (120-240V). The camper is a 50 amp service. What kind of adapter will I need to run without frying everything in the camper. oh, and the genny does not have a switch to choose between 120 or 240 volts. thanks for the advice

  • Just be aware that your genny will only provide ONE HALF of the rated output on EACH 120V "leg".

So, if you have a 5000W 120/240V gen your will get 2500W (20A) on each 120V leg of the 240V outlet. This may or may not be just enough to run your A/C unit...
  • Change the outlet on the genny. AND test it before plugging in the camper. Not that hard to change the outlet.
