generac guardian generator carburetor solenoid

generac guardian rv generator. I think the carburetor solenoid is not working. It is not a plunger type solenoid. I put direct 12 volts to it and no clicking or movement. I read a comment "The solenoi...

Pull the solenoid off the engine and clean it. Most probably it is gummed up with old gas. Watch where the gasket/s go.
