generac guardian generator carburetor solenoid

generac guardian rv generator. I think the carburetor solenoid is not working. It is not a plunger type solenoid. I put direct 12 volts to it and no clicking or movement. I read a comment "The solenoi...

I have had the carb off 20 times and cleaned every time. Not a lot to clean actually. I have cleaned the solenoid many times as well. I actually ordered a new carb with solenoid. I hope im right LOL. ANy more knowledge would help/
