To be fair, when I bought my Honda EU3000 it had factory defect.
Pretty tricky as the generator would work at lower load, but would trip overheating when I hook up AC to it.
Bad luck was that it show on my Mexico vacations.
Anyway, such failure was pretty hard to diagnose, but I bought the generator from small engine repair shop, who was selling generator on the side.
They had resistor bank in the size of kitchen island and only switching via different resistance confirmed the inverter was bad.
I have Hondas in lawnmower, pressure washer, generator and some of them are well over 10 years old. Even on 2 years old gasoline I never have to pull the starter more than 2 times.
I am only religious about shutting the fuel off and running carburetor dry before putting into storage.
Never had to buy new seals, when my pressure washer is close to 20 years old.
US made engines needed float valve seals every other year.
