Lexicon7: it's been said many times in different ways - mind your energy use. With only one person in the van it's easy enough to get daily consumption down to 30-40 AH with TV and all. If you put on 280W solar as planned, you won't be needing additional side panels. Australians equip their vans with 5 cu.ft 12V fridges, for God's sake, and this is with 180W panel.
