Piano brought up the fridge. I'm running exclusively on LP but if it also works on elec with shore power I guess that means that it didn't need an Inverter
That's correct, you don't need inverter for LP fridge. Here is why:
They are 3-way fridges, you can run either mode:
1) LP + 12V thermostat, or
2) Shore power (converter will make 12V for thermostat then), or
3) 12V only.
You are lucky if your fridge is really running "exclusively on LP", meaning it needs no 12V for control circuits. Many LP fridges do need 12V in LP mode.
#3 is terribly inefficient mode in ammonia fridge, you would need tons of 12V power in this mode, so nobody is using it and on many ammonia fridges this mode is missing - only #1 and #2. Those who want fridge to run on 12V, are buying compressor fridges.

I did find it odd that the previous owner or someone before him set up the solar with the tiny little Controller but no Inverter. Inverter is an option?
Yes, inverter is often an option. I set up pretty big solar system and only after a year went out and bought a small inverter for $20. Enough for small electronics, shaver, few cordless tools.
