There is nothing wrong with that "type" of generator, other than being loud. There are only a few generators in that size (3500/4000) and most are non-inverter and also loud. This is why many RV owner run TWO 2000W inverter generators. Quiet and much more fuel efficient.
The HF Predator Inverter 3500 generator should work, but you may have to add a hard start kit to your A/C. TWO of the HF Predator Inverter 2000 generator will work. Both are obviously more money.
Exactly. I have an champion 3500/4000 peak running my 13.5 older ac on 96 wilderness. I still had to put an hard start cap on my ac after making sure that Genny was working on other loads. I noticed that the ac would start better as it needs a bunch of amps to get ac motor going. In my case, I could tell the AC would not get the compressor going until some more amps came from hard start cap.
