This is yet another area where definitions are clouded by wide-open. no-limit qualification by each person who amends unseen and undisclosed change-order needs and wants onto a statement. An anarchy of opinions affords nothing but confusion.

How much money and trouble would it be to amortize the initial cost of solar that would satisfy the WANTS of a generator user? Start telling them how to live would end up me relating a 0.000 amp hours horse pack trip. This is outrageously foolish.
I did a workup to see what would be needed to power a 500 watt air conditioner day and night (always on). The answer always ended up at >$7,000.00 Just for the A/C. Now let's add three freezers a refrigerator water booster pump, and other hotel loads. /Totally off-grid independence)
You do not want to hear the gross total amount.
Could this workup serve another individual? No.
Whatever total panel array cost is to power just the load, times FOUR that figure for reliable summer/winter 24 hour use.
Loads must be audited
CEF analyzed
Base amp hour safety margins incorporated
Then wear and tear amortized
And this can be done on a bulletin board utilizing no facts, no numbers?
