The few gasoline engines we have on the home farm are fueled by taking a 5 gallon gas can to town (about a mile) and filling them. Use the farm pickup which has no child seats so kids are never along. Also weight and space are no problem in that instance.
I am interested in your pump setup. Where did you get your 12v pump to transfer gasoline from a gas can to generator? Do you have a make/model possibly?
