Generator not charging coach battery
2002 Newmar M/A DP 400 isl leece neville alternator or generator won't charge batteries. Alternator not putting out 12 volts. Should my onan generator charge my batteries?

I have a Cuumins QG4000 gas unit and generator is not charging the Gen battery on my unit either. Isn't there an alternator in the genset to charge the battery? My application only uses 120v appliances and lighting. There is no external charger connected to the Gen battery.
