Generator Placement questions

I have no problem running my built-in generator in a Walmart parking lot overnight. Go park off in the far corner you're fine.

Just ignore those that aren't answering your questions and want to question your choices. You don't have to justify your overnights anyone. I overnight in parking lots regularly. I'm not spending $30 for a few hours stopover for sleep.

:) Hi, I have a travel trailer that is towed with a pick-up truck. I keep my generator locked to the bed of my truck and run it from there. It might help if you tell us if you have a travel trailer, a fifth wheel trailer, a motorhome, or a truck camper.

For the price of a generator, gas, maintenance and hassle just stop at an RV park.
Much better experience than a paved WM lot.

As a fan of PA, we highly recommend it. BUT the OP is traveling in a popular area in the SUMMER! I've never seen a PA campground with 50% off in the summertime.

I agree a CG is better if you can make it work within your schedule.
However there times when Wal Mart is the best way.
While I agree a loud contractor genset is generally unacceptable.
A quieter inverter style or built in genset does not break any etiquette rules.
I have done CG overnights and Wal Mart/Cracker Barrel over nights.
There is a time and lace to use both methods.
