Generator question - let carb run dry or keep it wet?

I run our Honda eu2000i until it runs out of fuel, then store it for months at a time. When I need to use it again, I just add fuel and it only takes a couple of extra pulls for it to start. This has gone on for 5+ years and so far no problems at all.
