Generator question - let carb run dry or keep it wet?

The generator in my RV (Onan) I leave wet and run it every month per the owner's manual. We can't get gas without ethanol.

The manual for the generator at my house doesn't address the issue of storage. I use StaBil in the gas and run the generator every 3-4 months. I run it dry.

FWIW, I left my VRod in my heated garage for a year. I ran it dry. I put some gas in it and it started right up.

Gas coming out of the air filter sounds like a stuck carb float to me.
