And just to clarify I do not have a bypass option with this model of SP and I did try the bonding plug in both outlets and the results were the same.
What I take from this is I either

- Forget the SP altogether and run genny straight to RV
- Disassemble or test bonding plug to see if it is wired up correctly (will compare to photos provided - thanks!)
- Contact Energizer about the wiring of the outlets on the Genny (although I suspect they won't do anything about it)
