Generator running AC, is single Honda too small ??

Will a Honda 2000 series generator run a 15000btu AC unit by itself? I was looking at the specs and the Honda EU2000i makes 16.7 amps and after testing my AC startup amp draw it is just a little over ...

I have a 2400W Honda powered generator and it started my 13.5 AC on a test before going where I'd need AC without hookups. Naturally when I needed AC it would not start the AC again, even revving the engine up.:M
