Generator running AC, is single Honda too small ??

Will a Honda 2000 series generator run a 15000btu AC unit by itself? I was looking at the specs and the Honda EU2000i makes 16.7 amps and after testing my AC startup amp draw it is just a little over ...

X2. My EU2000 "will" start and run my 13.5 AC but it screams at full throttle and probably won't do it reliably. I don't recommend it at all. IMO it could possibly damage the AC or the genny.
