Generator won't fire....

Hello all,

I am a new RV owner, and in need of a little help. My uncle gave my wife and I a 1994 gulfstream conquest 102 27'

It has sat for 3 years in storage and we are going system by system getting her up and running.

I am stuck on the generac np-52g it seems to get no 12v from the battery to crank it. I hooked a battery directly to the ground and the right side of the starter and the fuel pump will gurgle but the starter switch in the coach and on the gen does nothing.

Any ideas where to start??

Sorry for the lack of information as I said I am new to all of this.

Which "battery?" Coach usually has a "House" battery and that's the one which usually cranks the generator. It has to be Good, Fully Charged, Good Connections, and ***ON***. I mention "ON" because there's usually a Battery Switch for the House and that usually operates a Relay that actually handles the load.
Most of us have ONAN generators. Generac is probably second, followed by Kohler. To get help with Generac, you might be better off to look at smokstak.com which has a Generac section.
I can't confirm, but I imagine a Generac of the 1994-vintage has a Logic Board like ONAN does, and that part could have failed. Also if it's sat three years without the gas removed, I'm all but certain the carburetor is gummed up.
