1. If the generator starts and runs from the unit switch, the control board and generator set is OK...
2. Look for a plastic electrical connector labeled J8 and P8 with 5 wires on it.
3. You have a problem between the inside start switch and its wire which is J8-C and the remote start wire P8-C.
4. I'm basing this on the fact that everything works on the remote switch except the start function and everything works on the on-unit start switch.
5. Item to note. ONAN controls work on ground signals not positive signals.
