Generator won't turnover from inside motorhome

Tracking down the J8 and P8 connector has been a dead end. I have not been able to find it. A wiring diagram showed a connector under the kitchen cabinet, but I could not locate it. All wires under there went into a hole in the floor and seem to be in some sort of duct work under the floor. Any tips as to how to get to the wiring harness. This appears to be getting outside of my comfort zone.
