My 1093 works like a converter with low voltage it still works but puts out fewer amps. I have no test figures but I have seen it max at 39 vs 40.4a but don't have the voltage then. Overly-long extension cords will cause that.
Converter specs say 105v or more needed but they do fewer amps at the low end. I understand Mex's question, just no comparison tests.
I wonder if the PF corrected ones like my PowerMax 100 amper (needs only a 15a circuit) will do more amps per input low volt too, since they do more per proper volt with the PF correction. Not saying they can keep going with a lower voltage than the others though.
