Thanks for replying. I do not know what a Faraday cage is, but the cabinet is just a wooden entertainment center. I have tried an external antenna, I get improvement but it's not significant. I believe the aluminum walls and studs causes the interference on the exterior antennae. My problem is not unique, in fact on another forum there are several complaints. My theory is that the tight quarters in that cabinet with all the media electronics, combined with the proximity of the aluminum walls and studs is causing the issue. Again when the radio sits on the floor outside the cabinet, there is no problem. Genesis has not replied to my inquiry nor has Forest River.
