GFCI Won't Reset

I have a 1998 Hitchhiker II. The gfci receptacle tripped and would not reset. It feeds a host of other receptacles.

I replaced the GFCI with a new one.....same result.

I disconnected all related receptacles and it still wont reset. It appears to get its power directly from the breaker. I did a continuity test and found the neutral and ground for that GFCI have continuity. What do I do next? Basically, I think I have everything else disconnected from that circuit but I am not sure. The wiring diagrams in my owners manual are real basic.

What next? I am puzzled.

You should have continuity between your ground and neutral, especially if you are connected to commercial AC power. They are tied together at the main station. What you need to do is check for voltage between the ground and neutral, it it is not zero you have a ground fault somewhere and will have current flow through the GFCI receptical ground which trips the device

I just checked. 0 volts between ground and neutral for this circuit.
120v between hot and ground and 120v between hot and common.

    What next?
