- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerMany thanks. Even though it is a tiny Spirit, my toad would benefit from a backup camera because the driver is defective (bad spinal disc making twisting around to see, difficult).

QUESTION TIME
A regular camera playing into a regular monitor renders an image reverse of reality.
Is this a general distraction? Do they have image reversing backup cameras?
I personally do not especially like have to interpret a reversed image. My system is ancient. The cameras are also mounted inside.
Totally agree. You want either the monitor or camera (or both) to offer reverse image capability. The only time it matters which device need it is if the monitor is used for other functions such as tank levels. In that case, set up the monitor to read "the other function" properly and adjust rear-view image with the camera. - hbillsmithExplorerThe ones I have now and the ones I had 2 years ago all have a menu setting to rotate and reverse image as needed. The default was seeing a car appear monitor right as it is coming up on the left. Simple setting change and it now appearscorrect.

In the box are 2 6-volt cube batteries wired together to make 12 volts. Toggle switch turns it off-on. Mounted the wireless backup cam to the lid. Monitor in the cab. Place it in the bed during hookup. In the back trailer window during tow. Spent $75.
- Kafn8tdExplorerI really need to make up my mind and buy one.
- HondavalkExplorer III've been happy with mine.

- MuddydogsExplorerI purchased 2 cameras, monitor and extra RCA cable off amazon for $60, wired in a backup camera on the pickup and a rear view camera on the trailer. Picture from both cameras is just fine. With the cheap stuff out there these days there's no sense in paying 100's for something simple like a backup camera.
- vermilyeExplorerI'm sure you will get lots of suggestions. Mine is a 2 camera wired system from Rear View Safety...
