For camping? I would not have it.
X2 and if you buy it please don't camp near me.
So, just buying makes one an undesirable? Whether he runs it or not? You folks are really something. I doubt that the OP wants to camp with people like that anyway.
I have hauled all kinds of generators for thousands of miles and never had one complaint. As Kenny Rogers would say, "You gotta know when to run them, gotta know when to stow them".
If you own the Walmart that I am parked at, simply tell me to shut mine off. I will move on.
But the difference is you are considerite of others. Sorry but in my experence most people don't even think about the CAMPGROUND RULES are even care. Yes I own a Champion 4000 watt open frame Gen. that I bought years ago when $$$ was tight. But I guarentee I never bothered one person with it. Now I have a Yamaha 1000 stowed in my basement just in case. But I also have a 3400 watt Champion inverter/Gen only used for A/C as my 400 watt solar and 4 6v GC batteries, and 2000 watt inverter handle most of my needs. I'm really not knocking the OP's post. I just think that what he is putting out there is not exactly ground breaking news, and not something that most people would use for camping.
