It look like a DC Buck/boost, and as such, you are setting an output voltage and a current limit. Set the voltage where you want it and turn the I limit down until it shuts off. Then go back a little.

Sorry, this is essentially a continuation of several earlier threads on the subject of manual battery charging. I probably should have just continued on the previous thread, it would have made more sense. Anyway, you are right, it is a DC buck/boost.
