Harbor Freight leaves that out of the picture to get the cost down, but if you wish they have full replacement coverage available. I just checked $79 for one year or $129 for two years over the counter exchange coverage at any store. Still a heckuva bargain.
One of my friends is a HF store manager, for anything with a gas engine, she recommends buying the one or two year policy, keeping the paperwork and exchanging the unit just before it expires, even if it's working just fine.
Kinda had thought that too, as long as there is no gas in it I cant believe they would try to start it, And on the phone I was told by mgr here that any problem bring in for exchange.
Did your friend say anything about her opinion of the units they sell?
Or how many are returned.
