If these numbers are correct the HF is much louder than than the Honda. 58db-49db = 9db. 10 db is usually considered to be twice as loud so the HF would be approximately twice as loud as the Honda at 25% load.

...HF's web page and downloaded the owner's manual. It lists the specs on page 2 including the Sound Level at 23 ft., 25% load as 57 dB. So, to me, HF has fully qualified the sound spec. 23 ft. is just a hair over 7 meters and IIRC is the distance the National Park Service uses for measuring generators. Honda's page for the EU3000is lists sound level as 58 dB @ rated load, 49 dB @ 25% load. I could not find a distance for those measurements.
