I had Hondas engines in several pieces of equipment starting from 3 hp up to 11 hp and when I never wear any of them out, I would consider them worth the money for simple fact that they start on 1st pull even after winter storage.
Had few B&S in my life and usually wear out the rope on them.
I have 20 years old pressure washer and 11 HP Honda on it still starts perfect, although I think I replace spark plug on it once.
But now it is giving me some headaches. The US-made pump attached to Honda is blowing the seals.
I had just the opposite experience. That Cat pump went on a 13 horse Predator engine after the Honda tossed a rod through the case. No warning, just bam and it was all she wrote. The Cat pump has been on the Predator for 4 years now. No issues and the original spark plug too.
