The rig's 12v all comes from the DC-Dc power supply gizmo off his 24v system including battery bank, so the question there is how much can it do before being overwhelmed by loads?
It's a 25a rated converter. There's not a lot of big 12v action in my coach. It runs the slides and the jacks just fine.

The Direct DVR was so darn slow and unresponsive that I "wanted to pull my hair out". The reboot on power glitch is just another aspect of poor design.
Oh man, my DTV DVR is sooo slow to respond to the remote. I don't know what's going on... whether the disk drive needs optimizing (the disk is 70% full), if the internet connection (and all the new streaming content) is bogging it down, all the on-demand content. It can sometimes take 5-10 seconds to bring up the guide, and then sometimes it's just a blank screen for another few seconds.
Funny stuff about your hair! :)
I do also think a lot of this is poor design. I had a less-than-1- second power outage in the house, and sure enough, the DVR went down for the count for its usual 10 minute break. ARGGGG
