I have a 1993 HR coach on a Spartan chassis, not a Chevy. My headlights all have flat prongs, not pins. All of the cars that I owned since sealed beam headlights became standard also had flat prongs. Removable halogen bulbs are not the same as sealed beam but I don't recall what the plugs look like for sure. I think they were also flat prongs. So, I suspect your system was modified by somebody.
