Another thing.. Back when I was a working stiff first part of job we had a big Computer Room HEVAC system, it controlled both heat and humidity most of the time and did a very poor job of it.
Now, having some training in science and engineering And having watched Technicians work on it I knew the thing and how it worked.> But I'd turn it on cause it was a bit chilly and the others in the room would be like "WHat did you turn that on for do you know how cold it is outside?" (Uh, what does "how cold it is outside" have to do with anything?) or "It's blowing cold air... I really liked that one
I'd open the desk drawer, Take out the Thermometer and hand it to 'em
It was blowing 72 Degrees F... Exactly what it was supposed to do.
sO WHY DID THEY THINK IT WAS BLOWING COLD?
It was blowing that's why.. 72 degree air STILL, is comfortable, but blowing the way this turkey blew it felt quite cool..
Same with my furnace.. I can detect the heat when it's blowing.. But it is far easier to detect with a probe than my hand. The Dry Bulb probe is not affected by wind speed like my moist hand is.
