Again my daughter brought this TT..and the guy she brought it from had a propane heater inside. She asked why..and he said one time he turned it on and it started smoking..Does that sound like a short...

Your new 5vr probably has same type of furnace as the one on daughters TT
Suburban or an Atwood propane fired furnace.
Depending on model could be direct discharge or ducted.

Previous owner could be scared, unsure of what it was doing or close to having a fire. Who knows???
Need to turn furnace on and see IF there really is an issue
