Shrink wrap holds in moisture.
Years ago we had a plywood cabin cruiser on Chesapeake Bay. It was a hot humid climate. My Dad was always opening doors and windows and the bilge to allow air circulation.

He sold the boat to a friend. He liked to keep it closed up. The boat had dry rot within 2 years.
