Tarp it with a huge tarp, and pull it tight with heavy duty bungees.
If the cost of tarps and bungee cords and heaters and lots of fans makes you nauseous, that may be a key clue as to whether or not your plans are "worth the expense".
Random laying down of several tarps in hopes of eliminating leaks is sadly foolish. The laps will allow water entry. Northern Hydraulics used to retail large tarps for agriculture use.
Saving your project is not going to be cheap.
