Maybe my somewhat similar experience would help. We hired a carpenter to build a sun room addition to our house. He couldn’t start in May, June, or even October. We got another one to start In late October. He built the base and framed the walls before we got two feet of snow and 30 below zero weather. I ran the snowblower inside throwing snow through window openings. Then in January we had a big thaw and rain, rain, rain. We couldn’t keep the new floor dry.
We had trusses already, in the snow, so we got some helpers and put them up. My daughter and I sheeted the roof and then installed metal roofing before that thaw ended. It doesn’t take a long time to build a real, solid roof. Even less for a temporary one.
