I suggest that you (every RV owner) needs to carry an inexpensive multimeter with them. I also have a little meter I plug into one of the 12 V outlets to keep a constant eye on the volatge.....both when charging and when not. Those are available at CW.
And lastly, as someone else touched upon.....IF the coach batteries really are 8 years old, they probably need replacement.
You are checking the electrolyte level occasionally and adding distilled water as required......right ??
