Help finding LP quick connect pigtail

I am probably making this way more complicated than it needs to be but; Our new FW came with a quick connect LP connection to attach a grill. I have a Nice Gas grill that I usually connect to a 20 lb tank. I am searching for the hose that will take the current 5' hose that screws into the portable LP tank and add a few feet to connect to the quick connect. So I guess I need a hose with a male end same size as what is on a 20lb tank and the other end the quick connect fitting. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place but every one I've seen talks about the fittings that hook to the small 1 lb bottles and the pressure through the hose is too little to run the grill. This can't be that hard.

    I can disconnect the regulator from the BBQ, then it sounds like a matter of getting a hose with the quick connect to attach to the trailer and the 3/8 female flair fitting directly to the grill. I think this was my problem with shopping for the hose, I was looking to attach the regulator end to a hose from the grill and then the quick connect (which is already regulated). No wonder I had a hard time finding it. :-) thanks.

    I'm sorry but I did not realize your pigtail was regulated. You can't have two regulators and get enough gas flow. (RV quick connect is already regulated). The connections I suggested will not work for you. Is "Nice" a brand name?
    www.torjik.com may have what you need to replace your BBQ regulator.

    The quick connect on your rig is indeed a low pressure line. The male fitting was about $7 last time I looked. You need to remove the regulator on the grill. Any RV dealer should have the pieces you need. Do be aware that between propane and compressed air, there are at least 3 visually identical but totally incompatible quick connects.

    All I know is, it's a line that comes from the regulator, down beneath the trailer to a quick connect.


    Sounds like low pressure. Might want to wait to buy your pigtail until you find out what connection you're left with on your grill when you remove its regulator. Likely you'll be working with a plumbing fitting, and not a propane tank connector.

    My Weber Q1200 for example, the regulator threads into the gas valve, so the regulator (which has the propane fitting) can be removed, and a quick connect receiver installed.

    I have searched Amazon and that lead to my confusion. There are many with a bunch of adapters etc and when I think I found the proper one, user reviews say the pressure was too low.
