At Amazon I found a 2-qt electric kettle that will heat 40F water to boiling in under a minute. Downside: 1500 watts Upside: Inexpensive. I use mine mostly for my French Press in tropical temps. It heats water faster than a high power microwave or stove burner - way faster.
