Given the charge controllers ive looked at below I could wire these up in 48v and run smaller wire down to the charge controller.
Thoughts/recommendations/previous examples welcome here also.

Would I be better served to get the 60 or just stick to 45?
Up to three of those panels in series is max for the 150Voc controller. Any more such as four you would need to break down into parallel such as 2 parallel, 2 series or 4 in parallel.
3 would be fine on the 45 amp. 4+ would need the 60 amp. I have 3 in series using the 60 amp and it would be a rare circumstance that I get over 45 amps to the battery. Controller will limit power to protect itself.
Excellent controller, very programmable.
Panels are just a commodity. Lowest price per watt is fine.
Don't cram them on close to shade items such as A/C, vents, antenna etc.
One cell shaded has a big effect on the entire panel.
