The nice thing about the hybrid inverter cojoined with a generator and solar is that it possible to "dial down" the input so that the generator will never fall over.
With a bit of balancing one could force what ever solar there is to run pretty much full tilt into a sort of power pyramid, where the hybrid feature takes care of surges.
Since I have a modest solar system, no balancing act is required. It ramps up to what ever it can generate automatically.
