HELP!! No AC, heat stuck on full- 2000 Lance 1030

It's kind of a moot point, as that thermostat isn't available any more, but the problem sounds like a shorted thermostat cable- no new thermostat will fix that.
But.... DuoTherm has a bunch of thermostats, and they all work differently- thus my question.
